ABOUT ABOUT

PennDOT Connects considers municipal plans, issues, and needs at the beginning of PennDOT project engineering. This three-part workshop series is part of PennDOT Connects outreach to municipalities, which includes training modules tailored to address your local needs. Each session will explain the planning concepts, provide resources, and share examples of local success stories. Breakout groups will provide an opportunity for exchange of ideas and answers to questions about next steps for your municipality. The Delaware County Planning Department has arranged for this PennDOT Connects training and it will take place at Delaware County Community College's main campus in Marple Township.

Night One will include the following topics: Integrating Transportation and Land Use in Comprehensive Plans, Official Map, Traditional Neighborhood Development, Urban Growth Areas/Rural Preservation, Zoning for Mixed Uses and to Accommodate Higher Densities, and Zoning Overlays.
